During his stay, Enkhbold held talks with his Vietnamese counterpart Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, paid courtesy visits to General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong and President Tran Dai Quang, and met with Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

The two top legislators signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation between the two parliaments, and witnessed the signing of an MoU on cooperation between Vietnam’s Hoa Binh province and Tuv province of Mongolia.
During the talks and meetings, the two sides agreed that the bilateral friendship has been consolidated and developed in the past more than 60 years, since the countries established their diplomatic ties in 1954.
To make the relations grow further, they agreed to intensify cooperation in politics, security, defense, and effectively implement agreements signed in the fields of diplomacy and security-defense; increase dialogues, information and experience sharing at all levels; join hands in fighting crimes; enhance partnership in defense industry, logistics and military medicine; and accelerate negotiations of agreements on criminal extradition and the transfer of convicted persons.
They pledged to pay attention to promoting exports to the respective country’s market. Mongolia is willing to import Vietnamese farm products, tea, coffee, and aquatic products, and export processed and frozen meat to the Southeast Asian country.
Vietnam and Mongolia also reached a consensus on maintaining mutual visits and meetings between the two countries’ senior leaders, and effectively coordinating at multilateral forums, and working closely to supervise the implementation of agreements signed by the Governments, ministries and sectors of the two countries.
