Speaking at a working session on July 3 with Vietnamese Ambassador to Venezuela Vu Trung My, teleSUR President Patricia Villegas stated that throughout its formation and development, teleSUR has always considered reporting on Vietnam one of its top priorities, particularly in regard to its history, culture, people, and the ideology and revolutionary cause of President Ho Chi Minh.

Based on this foundation, the broadcaster hopes to continue sharing stories about Vietnam’s achievements in national defense and construction, especially its burning aspiration for development in this new era - that of the nation's rise - a comprehensive, inclusive, and profound action program initiated and led by Party General Secretary To Lam.
She also showed a strong desire to soon establish collaboration with Vietnam’s leading media agencies such as the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) and the Vietnam Television (VTV), in order to deliver mainstream and accurate information about Vietnam’s renewal process and its new era of development, including its major events such as the 80th founding anniversary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, as well as key orientations and major decisions expected to be adopted at the 14th National Party Congress in early 2026.
Ambassador My appreciated teleSUR’s contributions in promoting a positive image of Vietnam to the international community in recent times, especially during this period of significant transformation.
The ambassador expressed his impression on teleSUR, one of the first international media agencies to report on Vietnam's rollout of the two-tier local administration model and reorganization of administrative boundaries on July 1, which are aimed at streamlining for greater effectiveness and efficiency.
He also showed his confidence that effective cooperation between teleSUR and the Vietnamese revolutionary press will help strengthen foreign communication efforts and widely promote the image of Vietnam - a country that loves peace, friendship, cooperation, and development; a trusted friend and partner; and a responsible member of the international community.
The collaboration is also expected to help Vietnamese audiences gain a clearer understanding of a vibrant, culturally rich, and highly cooperative Latin America, he added.
Founded in July 2005 in the capital city of Caracas based on the vision of late Cuban leader Fidel Castro and late Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez, teleSUR has grown to become one of the leading television channels in Latin America.
More than just a television station, it is now a media corporation that owns multimedia platforms in both Spanish and English, including websites, social media, and various other media formats such as text, video, and audio, with coverage spanning over 130 countries and territories.
