Present at the event were Politburo member, member of the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee (PCC), Head of the PCC’s Organization Committee Pham Minh Chinh, Minister and Chairman of the Office of the Government Mai Tien Dung, Deputy-Chief-of-the-General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army Senior Lieutenant General Pham Ngoc Minh and representatives of several ministries, sectors and friendship organizations.

In his speech, Minister and Chairman of the Office of the Government Mai Tien Dung sent best wishes to Emperor Akihito, the Empress and other Japanese royal members.

Dung confirmed that Vietnam has always considered Japan its top important and long-term partner and believed that the two sides would further their efforts and close cooperation to solidify and actively implement agreements reached by the two countries’ leaderships, boost their comprehensive cooperation to bring benefits to and meet expectations of both peoples, contributing to peace, stability and development in the region and the world.
