Speaking at the event, Chairman of the association Nguyen Van Nam lauded Italy’s achievements during 71 years of the national construction and development. He also stressed that in 2016, the cooperation and friendship between Vietnam and Italy continued to strengthen.

“The trade relation between Vietnam and Italy has grown strongly, reaching USD 4.6 billion in 2016, a tenfold increase over the past 10 years,” Nam said.

For her part, Italian Ambassador to Vietnam Cecilia Piccioni affirmed the relationship between the two countries has been constantly expanding and developing in all fields of cooperation. There are more and more Italian businesses interested in cooperation opportunities with Vietnam, especially in the areas of sustainable energy, food, and infrastructure.
