French President affirms Vietnam’s special position in France’s policies
French President Emmanuel Macron on November 2 affirmed the special position of Vietnam in his country’s policies.

Welcoming Vietnamese Ambassador to France Dinh Toan Thang who came to present his letter of credentials, Macron spoke highly of achievements in bilateral cooperation in all fields from politics, diplomacy, trade, and investment to education, training, culture, and science and technology, especially after the two countries set up their strategic partnership.
He expressed his delight at the official visit to France from November 3-5 by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, during which he will have a meeting with Chinh.
Ambassador Thang, for his part, affirmed Vietnam always attaches importance to and hopes to intensify its strategic partnership with France – one of its leading partners in numerous fields.
He pledged to do his utmost to nurture the time-honored relations between the two nations, contributing to boosting the bilateral friendship towards the celebration of the 50th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic ties, and the 10th anniversary of establishment of bilateral strategic partnership in 2023.
The ambassador showed his belief that PM Chinh’s visit and bilateral meetings of the two sides’ senior leaders will continue creating a framework and long-term vision for the Vietnam - France relationship, and serving as a foundation to make it grow further.
