At the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China
In an interview with the Vietnam News Agency’s reporter, Nguyen Vinh Quang, senior advisor of the Center for Strategic Studies and International Development and Vice President of the Vietnam-China Friendship Association, said Vietnam attaches importance and pays attention to the 19th CPC National Congress.
The successes of China and the CPC are of significance to socialism in the world and Vietnam in particular, Quang said.
He noted that after the congress, Chinese President Xi Jinping will visit Vietnam and attend the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week slated for November 6-11 in the central city of Da Nang, marking a good start for relations between the CPC and the Communist Party of Vietnam, as well as between the two countries during the CPC’s new tenure.
Quang said stable cooperation mechanisms between the two countries have been set up, covering all spheres from politics to economy, culture, education, science-technology, security, national defense and diplomacy.
The bilateral collaboration has brought practical benefits to people of both countries while contributing to stability and development in the region and the world at large, especially in the context that the cooperation has been reflected not only through the number but also mutual understanding and sharing of experience.
Over the past decades, Vietnam and China have addressed major issues left by history on the basis of friendship, cooperation and respect for international law, he said.
Senior leaders of Vietnam and China have reached common perceptions which mapped out orientations and targets for bilateral ties, Quang said.
Mutual trust and joint efforts will help advance the friendship and cooperation and remove difficulties hindering the bilateral relationship, he added.
