Bulgarian Speaker of the National Assembly meets with Vietnamese students
PANO - Within the framework of the official visit to Vietnam, Speaker of the National Assembly of Bulgaria Rossen Dimitrov Jeliazkov met with Vietnamese people who used to learn or work in the European country in Hanoi on January 7 evening.
The meeting was jointly held by the Vietnam-Bulgaria Friendship Association and the Bulgaria Embassy in Vietnam.

Speaking at the event, the Speaker of the National Assembly of Bulgaria affirmed that despite geographical distance, Vietnam and Bulgaria have close relationship. Bulgaria has provided training for generations of Vietnamese students, in the 1970s and 1980s, more than 30,000 Vietnamese people worked and studied in Bulgaria and have become top scientists, experts, and engineers of Vietnam.
The Bulgarian top legislator emphasized that the foundation of sincerity and mutual trust has contributed to lifting the Vietnam-Bulgaria cooperative relationship in all fields, such as economy, culture, and education in an intensive, practical, and effective manner.

On this occasion, Speaker Rosen Dimitrov Jeliazkov handed over the Bulgarian National Assembly’s certificates of merit to six Vietnamese individuals with outstanding achievements in the people-to-people diplomacy and important contribution to the two countries’ friendship and solidarity.
