The event took place right after the launch of the Logistics Technology Village - Logistech 2021 the same day. At the launch, Head of the village Cao Cam Linh said that Logistech 2021 will be a place for technological startups in logistics field to gather, connect and share experience. It will also be a place that encourages innovation, boosts digital transformation in logistics and brings in positive transformational values for Vietnam's logistics industry to make breakthroughs in post-pandemic period.

During the event, the first of the series hosted by the Logistics Technology Village, leading experts in logistics discussed and shared approaches to applying technology to the industry to protect the key supply chain of the economy.

They highlighted the high efficiency of the application of technology in transportation and connectivity among producers, vehicles’ owners, drivers, distributors, and relevant parties in the supply chain, especially amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

They also laid stress on technology operation teams as the top priority in application of the latest technologies despite the industry’s technologizing rate reaching 40 percent a year.

At the webinar, the participants also discussed the ways to improve human resources for the logistics industry, how to develop a sustainable supply chain, using clean energy and fuel, and worked out environment-friendly and economical solutions.

The second webinar themed “Vietnam’s Logistics - Towards Digital Transformation” is scheduled to take place on October 7.
