The Ho Chi Minh City Union of Trading Cooperatives (Saigon Co.op) will open 30 additional supermarkets and stores across the country this year.

Last year, it pocketed revenue of VND 22 trillion, 13 per cent higher than in the same period the previous year, and operated 8 more new Co.op Mart supermarkets.

In 2014, the group will strengthen its staff, increase staff qualifications and invest capital to open 10 more supermarkets and 20 food stores in Hanoi, Dak Lak, Dong Thap and Ho Chi Minh City to achieve sales of VND 25 trillion.

Especially, its two Sense City trade centres valued at VND 500 billion will be put into operation in the Mekong Delta region this year.
