According to a report on the task performance of the trade union in the first half of the 2017-2022 term, trade unions of PV GAS’s units fulfilled missions set in the resolution of the third Congress of the company’s trade union organization. Apart from completing all production targets, trade union chapters have cooperated with local leadership and organizations to organize activities and movements to encourage needy workers and those with serious diseases, contributing to promoting solidarity among personnel.
Annually, PV GAS’s Trade Union launched movements to seek feasible initiatives to apply to the company’s production activities. Particularly, in the 2017-2020 period, 454 initiatives of trade union members have been applied to production activities of the company.
With its achievements obtained over the past three years, PV GAS’s Trade Union was honored with an emulation flag by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
At the conference, trade union chapters of PV GAS’s units shared experiences in seeking initiatives, promoting labor hygiene and safety, and building a model working environment.
In the last half of the 2017-2022 term, PV GAS will continue overcoming challenges caused by steep oil price decline, the COVID-19 pandemic, and fierce competition. PV GAS’s Trade Union will embrace and strictly carry out directives of the company’s Party Committee and foster cooperation with other units to complete production targets and raise the material and spiritual lives of its workers. The organization will also focus on raising its members’ competence and ability to fulfill all assigned missions, consolidating solidarity, building a professional working environment, raising its personnel’s living standards, and promoting labor hygiene and safety.
Apart from regular missions, the company’s trade union will hold cultural and sports activities to strengthen solidarity among workers and promote the implementation of emulation movements launched by the company.
Speaking at the event, Chairperson of the Trade Union of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group Nghiem Thuy Lan and PV GAS’s Party Secretary and General Director Duong Manh Son highly appreciated the efforts of members of PV GAS’s Trade Union in carrying out missions over the past time. They also shared some measures to raise the effectiveness of trade union activities in the coming time.
At the event, the Trade Union of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group presented an emulation flag to PV GAS’s Trade Union and certificates of merit to four trade union chapters of PV GAS’s units. Dozens of groups and individuals were also honored at the event for their achievements over the past time.
Concluding the event, the Executive Board of the Trade Union of PV GAS called on its trade union members to promote emulation to successfully carry out resolutions on trade union activities, contributing to the sustainable development of the company in particular and the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group in general.
