All investment procedures and documents of the Japanese Group of Lixil on a project to erect a building material plant in Dong Nai Province have been approved, the Dong Nai Industrial Zones Management Authorities (DIZA) affirmed on April 11th.
Under the project, Lixil will earmark US$441million to build the facility on an area of 55 ha in the Long Duc Industrial Park to produce building materials such as lean-to, aluminium windows and aluminium frames for exports.
Apart form the project Lixil had several operating production facilities in the Vietnamese localities of Hanoi, Hung Yen, Quang Nam and Vung Tau, which make various Inax products.
According to Deputy-Chief of DIZA Nguyen Van Thanh, local leaders will grant the investment license to the Japanese Group on their visit to Japan from April 8th to 16th to call for investment in the Province.
During the visit, Dong Nai leaders are also expected to grant an investment license to another Japanese Group of Belmont, which plans to build a medical equipment plant in the Long Duc Industrial Park.
