In his opening remarks, NIC Director Vu Quoc Huy said the event serves as a forum for academic exchange and an opportunity for Vietnam to assert its position in the regional technology race, adding it will help domestic businesses shape their development strategies, enhance innovation capabilities, and promote sustainable growth in high-tech sectors.

Aitomatic founder Dr. Christopher Nguyen shared that the Vietnamese Government's efforts to promote AI and semiconductor development demonstrate a right direction aligned with the global technology value chain shift.

AISC 2025 shows the strong interest of the international community and affirms Vietnam as a strategic destination in high-tech fields, he said, adding the combination of national vision and international investment needs from developed economies such as the US, Japan, and the Republic of Korea has created significant attractiveness of the event, opening up important opportunities for the development of the AI and semiconductor industries in Vietnam, he added.

The opening session laid stress on the role of open-source AI in innovation and chip production optimization, creating chances for Vietnamese firms to access advanced technologies and enhance their position in global supply chains.

For the first time in Vietnam, participating companies joined the Startup Pavilion – an international Shark Tank program where they presented their innovative ideas within a limited timeframe to leading investment funds, and may secure important agreements to facilitate their entry into the global technology market.

AISC 2025 also focused on discussions about new technology trends in AI and semiconductor, including the revolution in chip design and manufacturing, the potential of advanced semiconductor architectures, and strategic policies to enhance global cooperation.

The five-day conference are taking place in both Hanoi and central Da Nang city, featuring key workshops on the semiconductor and AI technology revolution, exhibitions, investment and business networking, and a policy forum on Vietnam’s AI and semiconductor development in the new era.
