PANO - The Hong Ha Shipbuilder, under the General Department of Defence Industry, held a ceremony on August 15th to hand over the VP Asphalt 1 - HH15 to the VP Petrochemical Transport Company of the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group in Hai Phong after 30 months of construction.

The tar Asphalt tanker, at 99m-long, 15m-wide and 7.6m-high, was designed by the Singaporean Kenton Marine Company, and built under the supervision of Norway’s Det Norske Veritas (DNV) and the Vietnam Register.

Equipped with a 1950KW engine, the ship meets latest international maritime conventions.
