PANO - The Northern Helicopter Company (under the Vietnam Helicopter Group of the Ministry of Defence) held a seminar on Development of Helicopter Service in Tourism on June 6th in Hanoi in the presence of its senior leaders and representatives from the General Department of Tourism, under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Vietnam Tourism Association, the Embassies of Japan and Australia in Vietnam, international and domestic tourist agencies, 5-star hotels in Hanoi and other foreign airlines and helicopter companies.

According to Senior-Colonel Nguyen Duc Lien, Deputy Director for Commercial Affairs of the Northern Helicopter Company, while the company’s services for oil and gas exploration and the finding Americans Missing-in-Action (MIA) have been developed, the number of helicopters used in tourism remains modest.

This seminar aims to popularize the tourism potential of Vietnam in general and North Vietnam in particular to some international helicopter companies, tourist agencies, foreign embassies in Vietnam and high-class hotels to promote their cooperation in tourism by helicopter in the coming time.

In addition, representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hanoi and Quang Ninh also introduced beautiful images of Vietnam, as well as Ha Long Bay, for the participants to draw more tourists in the future.

On this occasion, Turbomeca - a French manufacturer of low-and medium-power gas turbine turboshaft engines for helicopters – presented an insignia to the Northern Helicopter Company for its safe operation for 5 consecutive years.
