DBS, a leading Singaporean bank, which first set foot in Vietnam in 2008 with a representative office, has officially opened its branch in Ho Chi Minh City.

According to the company, the establishment of its branch in the city marked a turning point in its development in Vietnam and helps it boost business in the potential market.

The affiliate in HCM City will have US$ 15 million of legal capital and the operational lifetime will be 99 years.

Considered the largest bank in Southeast Asia, DBS possesses a widespread business network with various modern banking services.

DBS officials at the opening ceremony said that it would provide the best banking and financial services and was able to meet an increasing need for capital and other banking services to Vietnamese businesses.
