The Thua Thien-Hue People’s Committee said that 174,700,000 VND had been sent to A Luoi district to develop the cow raising project initiated by the Australian correspondent, Bruce Montgomery.

Accordingly, 50 poor households in Hong Kim and Hong Quang communes (A Luoi) will receive the money to develop their cow herds.

Previously, Bruce Montgomery together with 2 Australian friends established the Vietnam Agent Orange Victims’ Association in his country with the aim of supporting Vietnamese victims in Thua Thien-Hue.

Between 2003 and 2004, Bruce and the Australian Embassy in Vietnam and the province’s Red Cross handed 30 wheelchairs over to disabled people in A Luoi district.
