The event was attended by Ms. Joanna Wood, Educational Counselor from the Australian Embassy in Vietnam; Petr Adámek, CEO of Canberra Innovation Network; Dr. Bui Duc Tho, Vice President of National Economics University; Pham Hong Quat, Head of the Market Development and Science and Technology Enterprise Department; and other Vietnamese and Australian educational experts.

The ASPIRES (Australian Speakers and Partners in Research Education and Skills) initiative by the Australian government will create a forum to share knowledge and information. It will focus on innovating training and education, which is a strength of Australia’s world-class education and training system.

At the workshop, delegates discussed how educational institutions work together to do research while innovating and creating a favorable environment for entrepreneurship.

During the discussion on “Innovation culture in Vietnam,” representatives from universities, businesses and the government also discussed their role in creating an innovation culture in order to help entrepreneurs “change the world.”

The seminar was part of the Week of Skills and Innovation from October 8 to 11. The event offers an opportunity for the participants to share difficulties and challenges in building innovation ecosystems and to gain experiences in socio-economic development based on innovation from Australian experts.
