Vietnam, Australia enjoy economic cooperation growth
PANO – Member of the Politburo and Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan received Australian Ambassador to Vietnam Craig Chittick on September 26.
At the meeting, Nhan spoke highly of the increasing development of the bilateral economic relations, for example the annually-increasing trade turnover and the growing number of flights between Vietnam and Australia.

Additionally, the two countries have been promoting education and training cooperation, and, as a result, thousands of Vietnamese students are studying in Australia.
Secretary Nhan and Ambassador Chittick also agreed that Vietnam and Australia have potential to further promote their economic and trade cooperation in the coming time.
The host added that Ho Chi Minh City has good relationships with many Australian localities and it is hoped that these connections will be further promoted in the future.
The Australian ambassador also underlined that Australia wants to further boost economic cooperation with Ho Chi Minh City and believed in the strong development of the Vietnam-Australia cooperation relations.
