A special dialogue on audit is held within the framework of the 27th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF 2024).

Hosted by Editor-in-Chief of the Russian broadcaster RT as well as the media group Rossiya Segodnya Margarita Simonyan, delegates discussed the role of State audit in the effective use of budget capital, and made recommendations to improve public administration fields as a necessary condition for sustainable development of society and improving the quality of life.

At the dialogue, Tho said that under SAV’s development strategy until 2030, it prioritizes three main pillars - improving audit quality, developing human resources, and applying information technology in auditing. State audit activities will also closely follow the government's programs on national sustainable development, with a vision for 2050.

To achieve those goals, SAV has innovated developing audit plans, strengthening training for accountants, and learning experiences from other countries.

On June 6, the SAV delegation had a working session with the Russian Accounts Chamber’s delegation led by its deputy head Galina Izotova.

During the meeting, both sides affirmed the close and cooperative relationship between the two audit agencies.

The Vietnamese side proposed that Russia increase its cooperation in personnel training and support Vietnam's candidacy as a member of the Asian Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI) for the 2024-2027 term, conduct joint audits on topics of mutual interest, and sign a new cooperation agreement between the two sides.

Izotova agreed with Tho on those issues.
