Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Dinh La Thang (R) and Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea (RoK) Chung Sye-kyun
At the meeting, Thang showed his pleasure at positive developments in the strategic partnership between the two nations in recent years and affirmed that Vietnam in general and Ho Chi Minh City in particular always attach importance to strengthening cooperation in all areas with the RoK for the benefits of the two countries and  peace, stability and prosperity in the region and the world as a whole.

The host also hoped that the guest’s visit would serve as an opportunity for the city to promote its dynamic image to Korean people, contributing to attracting more investment and tourists from the RoK to the city.

For his part, the guest thanked the city leaders for creating favorable conditions for Korean businesses to do business in the city. He also hoped that RoK investors with their management experience, technical and work skills would contribute to the development of Vietnam in general and Ho Chi Minh City in particular.

Ho Chi Minh City now has about 2,000 RoK’s enterprises and 100,000 Koreans living and working there.
