PANO – The Hanoi Food Festival, one of the official events celebrating the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long-Ha Noi, will start in Ho Tay Water Park, Hanoi on October 6th.

The week-long festival, co-organised by the Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Hanoi Tourism Corporation, will introduce Hanoi culture, Vietnamese markets depicting the soul of Vietnamese villages and traditional games.

The typical images of trading and trader activities on market-days will be shown during this event.

Notably, Dong Xuan Market in Hanoi, Dong Ba Market in Hue City, and Ben Thanh Market in Ho Chi Minh City are chosen as the symbols of the North, the South and the Centre’s food space.

According to Mr. Truong Minh Tien, Deputy-Head of the Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, several talented chefs will entertain table companions.

Besides, participants will have a chance to enjoy traditional cultural specialities like hat xam, ca tru, chau van, ca Hue, vong co… of different regions throughout Vietnam.

In addition, typical products of trade villages in Hanoi will be showcased during the festival as well.

The festival is a promising chance for Hanoi to introduce its culture and culinary style to more international friends.
