A flower market, one of the main activities of the ceremonies marking the 115th anniversary of the founding of Dalat, opened this morning.

The flower market is being held along streets in the city, with various activities to introduce and promote local flowers, one of the most famous farm products of the province.

Many well-known kinds of flowers and other decorative plants are being displayed at more than 100 stalls.

Over the past several years, the city has expanded the amount of acreage allocated to the growing of flowers. More than 800 million flowers of different varieties are produced each year, and they are exported to many other provinces, as well as foreign countries.

Earlier, the Dalat Vegetable Festival was held on December 19th with the participation of more than 1,000 visitors and local people.
