Vietnamese player Luong Chi Dung has been ranked ninth in the list of top ten players by the Asian Pocket Billiards Union (APBU).
This is the first time a Vietnamese billiards player, particularly nine-ball pool, has obtained such a high ranking.
Another Vietnamese billiards player Nguyen Thanh Nam has also improved his ranking, jumping to the 15th place with 562 points.
In 2007, Vietnamese billiards players will compete in regional and international tournaments such as the 24th Southeast Asian Games in Thailand, the second Asian Indoor Games in Macao-China and the World Individual Championship in the Philippines.
