PANO - Vietnamese folk music genres, such as ca tru (ceremonial singing), cheo (popular theatre), chau van (spiritual singing) and xam (blind buskers' singing) will be highlighted at a music night in Hanoi on January 10th.
Organised by the French Cultural Centre in Vietnam, the program aims to introduce Vietnam’s traditional music genres to the audiences. At the program, People’s Artists Xuan Hoach and Thanh Hoai, Meritorious Artists Doan Thanh Binh and Dang Cong Hung will entertain the spectators with outstanding works of each genre.
Earlier, similar program was held in Paris on November 7th, 2014, as part of activities in the Vietnam Year in France in 2014.
