Vietnam Youth responds to World Kindness Day
PANO - A thousand people of different ages joined a dance on November 12 in Hanoi to celebrate the annual Worldwide Dance for Kindness.
More than 5,000 volunteers participating in the event
The Dance for Kindness program was organized by the National Volunteer Center, to inspire, empower and educate people to awaken kindness in the society. The event included FreezeMobs and FlashMobs.
Besides the Worldwide Dance for Kindness held in Hanoi, similar events were also being organized in some provinces that same day.
As part of the program, a children’s painting exhibition with the theme “Kindness in the Eyes of Children” was also held. The money raised from selling paintings at the event will be used to support victims of natural disasters in the Central region.
After three years of being implemented in Vietnam, the “Dance for Kindness” has spread from Hanoi to other cities, with an increasing number of participants from many different age-groups.
