PANO – “Xoe” dancing, a popular event of the cultural life of the Thai ethnic people in Nghia Lo town, Yen Bai province, has been listed as a national intangible cultural heritage.

In their performance, men and women hold hands to form a circle and dance to the rhythm played on instruments such as gourd lutes, drums, two-chord fiddles, gongs and cymbals.
“Xoe” is an important group dance performed by the ethnic Thai who developed around 30 variations of the dance.
The local authorities will hold a ceremony to receive the honor soon.
