Politburo member and Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Pham Quang Nghi, and member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan both attended the event.
In July 2011, UNESCO recognized the 82 doctoral steles at the temple as a world documentary heritage. These steles were engraved with the names of over 2,000 doctors passing the royal examinations between 1442 and 1779.
After that, on May 10th, 2012, Vietnam’s Prime Minister ratified the recognition of the Temple of Literature, the first university and the symbol of knowledge and intelligence of Vietnam, as a special national relic.
