The space, which lasts until June 9, recreates the traditional floating markets in the Southwestern region of Vietnam to introduce the distinctive products from various regions to tourists and locals.

The event aims to popularize the image of the land, people, and unique cultural identity of the city named after President Ho Chi Minh and to make the most of the values of rivers and canal systems through exceptional and novel waterway tourism products.

According to Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh municipal Department of Tourism Bui Thi Ngoc Hieu, the event features booths showcasing tourism products from Ho Chi Minh City, Ben Tre, Hau Giang, Bac Lieu, Soc Trang, Tien Giang, Binh Duong, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Dong Nai, and more. Visitors also have the opportunity to experience making traditional handicrafts and coconut leaf weaving.

During the event, visitors also have the opportunity to enjoy traditional cuisine, fruits, and local cakes from the Southern region on boats and cultural performances such as "Don ca tai tu" (a traditional musical genre), cai luong (reformed theater), and acoustic music. Festival goers have the option to explore the area independently or purchase tour packages from local travel agencies.
