PANO - On the occasion of International Children’s Day (June 1st), the Thang Long Puppet Theatre performed a free puppet show for children with disabilities and other local children in Phu Luu Te commune, My Duc district, Hanoi, on May 31st.

The theatre presenting gifts to the disadvantaged children

On June 1st, the theatre performed another free show at 57B Dinh Tien Hoang Street, Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi for young children from SOS Children's Village Hanoi. The program included attractive, funny and unique performances, such as marionette (string-puppet), rod puppet, water puppetshows and more.

By so doing, the theatre also created an opportunity for children to meet and exchange with one another, and to see lovely little puppets. The theatre also presented gifts to the young audiences with the aim of encouraging them to lead a better life.

According to Tran Manh Tien, Director of the Hong Duc Humanitarian Center, this was the first time, children of the centre had watched the amazing performances. He hoped that there will be more performances in the future.
