PANO – The Mother Ponagar Tower Worshipping Festival was officially opened on April 30th in Khanh Hoa province and it attracted a large number of visitors from the central provinces of Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan and Da Nang city.
The Mother Ponagar Tower Worshipping Festival is one of the large-scale festivals in the region, which is held annually in March of the Lunar New Year, in Nha Trang City. This is a good chance for local people and visitors to enjoy the festive atmosphere and spiritual activities as well as broaden their knowledge of local culture.
This festival takes place in 4 days from April 29th to May 2nd. During the festival, there are a number of unique cultural and religious activities, such as: Changing Dress for the Mother; Requiem; Worshipping for Peace and Security; Cham Dance; and Worshipping at Noon.
Especially, during this year’s festival, the Mother Ponagar Tower Worshipping Festival will receive a certificate of the national intangible heritage.
