Photos of late President Ton Duc Thang’s life and career exhibited
PANO - Three exhibitions showcasing 270 photos depicting the life and career of late President Ton Duc Thang opened on Nguyen Hue pedestrian street, at Labor Cultural Palace and on Dong Khoi street in district 1 of Ho Chi Minh City on August 17.

The week-long exhibitions are in celebration of the 130th birth anniversary of the President (August 20, 1988-2018).
At the exhibition themed “President Ton Duc Thang-Eminent Son of Vietnam” on Nguyen Hue street, on highlight is a brief of the President’s life and revolutionary career with photos collected from a memorial site dedicated to him, a special national relic site at his hometown in My Hoa Hung commune, Long Xuyen city, An Giang province and from Ton Duc Thang Museum in Ho Chi Minh City.
Meanwhile, photos featuring President Thang’s great contributions to the working class and revolutionary movement of Vietnamese workers during the war for national salvation and reunification as well as in the cause of socialism building are on display at the exhibitions under the theme “President Ton Duc Thang and Vietnamese workers’ movements” at the Labor Cultural Palace.
The exhibition “President Ton Duc Thang-symbol of national great unity” on Dong Khoi street highlights President Thang’s example of life-time care for and consolidation of the whole people’s great unit bloc and solidarity, brotherhood between Vietnam and other countries and international friends is on emphasis.
