The memorial site of Nguyen Dinh Chieu was built at his tomb in An Duc commune, Ba Tri district, in 1972 and recognized as a national historical relic site in 1990.
Ben Tre province expanded and re-built the relic site on an area of 13,000 sq.m with a three-storey temple representing three jobs that Nguyen Dinh Chieu worked during his life: teaching, medical practicing, and writing.
The historical relic site is one of the two relics of Ben Tre province that have received the title.
