Cutting the ribbon to open the exhibition |
It is to celebrate the 133rd anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s birthday (May 19, 1890 - 2023), and 75th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s call for patriotic emulation (1948-2023).
The exhibition includes three parts, namely President Ho Chi Minh – Hero of national liberation; President Ho Chi Minh – Pre-eminent Man of Culture; and Military Region 9’s armed forces studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality, and style.
Senior Colonel Nguyen Thi Kim Loan, Director of Military Region 9 Museum, said that with more than 300 images, and exhibits, the exhibition provides a source of precious documents about President Ho Chi Minh’s life and revolutionary career, and Military Region 9’s armed forces’ emulation movement “Studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality, and style.”

Addressing the opening ceremony, Major General Ho Van Thai, Secretary of Party Committee and Political Commissar of Military Region 9 emphasized the leadership of President Ho Chi Minh in the national salvation cause. He also noted that over the past 77 years of development, Military Region 9’s armed forces have overcome all hardships and achieved important feats-of-arms, contributing to the nation’s renewal cause and firmly safeguarding the land, sky, border, waters and islands in the Southwestern region of the country.
The exhibition aims to show respect and gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh, educate about patriotism, independent and self-reliant will and national pride, and demonstrate solidarity to gain greater and more comprehensive achievements in the national renewal cause.
The exhibition will last until the end of June this year.
