Military Library opens exhibition on August Revolution and National Day
PANO - The Military Library has kicked off an exhibition to mark the 75th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - 2020) and the National Day (September 2, 1945 - 2020).

The exhibition “Memories of Independence Day,” introduces 1,000 books and newspapers briefing the Vietnamese people’s national salvation, construction, and defense cause over the past 75 years.
Exhibits are divided into different themes, namely the Communist Party of Vietnam-a decisive factor for the success of Vietnam’s revolution, President Ho Chi Minh - The founder of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (present the Socialist Republic of Vietnam), the August General Uprising and the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, historical significance and values of the Declaration of Independence in 1945 and the struggle to protect the revolutionary government, the national construction cause, and the military and the national liberation and construction cause.
Through photos and documents, the exhibition aims to affirm the great historical values of the August Revolution and the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (present the Socialist Republic of Vietnam) in the national construction and defense history.
The event also aims to teach young generations about the Vietnamese people’s tradition of patriotism, indomitable spirit, desire for national peace, appreciation of national unity, and gratitude to former generations who laid down their lives for national independence and freedom.
The exhibition will run until September 12.
