Hoang Thi Loan, the dear mother of President Ho Chi Minh, was born in Van Noi village, the cradle of many revolutionary activists and scholars. She embodied the noble qualities of traditional Vietnamese women. She was resourceful, kind, patient, hardworking, and devoted herself to her husband and children. To honor her great contribution, in 2003, the Hung Yen provincial People's Committee decided to build a memorial house in her ancestral village.

Built on the site of Van Noi village's former communal house, the project was designed in the Vietnamese traditional architectural style, harmonizing with the landscape of the Red River Delta countryside. Since its inauguration in 2005, the memorial house has become an important historical site in Hung Yen province, where people across the country come and pay their respect to a great woman who dedicated her whole life to her family and presented the Vietnamese people with the beloved leader - President Ho Chi Minh.

Speaking at the event, Nguyen Huu Nghia, Secretary of the Hung Yen provincial Party Committee, highly valued the authorities of Khoai Chau district for conserving and bringing into play the role of the memorial house.

Chairman of Hung Yen provincial People's Committee hands over the certificate recognizing the memorial house as a provincial-level historical and cultural relic.

Emphasizing the special meaning and value of the relic, Nghia requested the local Party Organization and authorities to continue the management, restoration, and promotion of the site as regulated. At the same time, the memorial house should be integrated into the system of local historical and cultural sites for effective management and conservation. The memorial house to Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan should be a "red address" for tourists and historical enthusiasts.

At the ceremony, Tran Quoc Van, Chairman of the Hung Yen provincial People's Committee, handed over the certificate recognizing the memorial house as a provincial-level historical and cultural relic to the authorities of Khoai Chau district. Following that, the delegates cut the ribbon to inaugurate the newly-upgraded memorial house.
