PANO - The Management Board of Hanoi's Old Quarter, in association with a painters group of the Hanoi UNESCO Art Center, launched an art exhibition on May 12th titled "Lotus” at 50 Dao Duy Tu street in Hanoi.

This is part of meaningful activities to welcome the 126th anniversary of Ho Chi Minh’s birthday and the election of deputies to the 14th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2016-2021 tenure.

At the exhibition, 42 oil paintings by famous painters, including Pham Thi Thanh Mai, Dang Binh Ngo, Bui Trong Du, and Vu Tuyen were showcased. The exhibit explores the beauty of the lotus flower. Several typical paintings, such as “White lotuses”, “Lake of lotus”, "Pond of lotus” and “Pink lotus”, are also on display.

Painter Tuyen said the lotus is a meaningful symbol embodying noble dignity.

The exhibition is an opportunity for artists to praise life and relationships among people.

The exhibition will last until 30th May.
