Delegates launch the third Hanoi Autumn Festival on November 21 evening.

It is held on the occasion of the capital and the entire country celebrating significant historical milestones: the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day on September 2, the 71st anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital, and the successful conclusion of the XVIII Congress of Hanoi’s Party Committee.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Tourism Tran Trung Hieu said the festival aims to offer visitors an experience of the capital city’s beauty through the gentle portrayal of its autumn, “where memories, culture, and modern life harmoniously blend in each experiential space”.

This year's festival features about 150 booths, with participation from localities, tourism businesses, airlines, craft villages, artisans, and artists, creating a vibrant and emotionally rich cultural-tourism space.

As part of the festival's rich activities, several standout thematic areas will be featured, including Colors of Autumn, showcasing artistic miniatures and photo spots that capture the essence of Hanoi’s autumn; Destinations of Hanoi, highlighting significant heritage sites, craft villages, and tourist attractions; and The Traveler's Quarter, where businesses will present offerings to boost year-end tourism.

There will also be the culinary space Taste of Memories, featuring signature dishes that evoke Hanoi's autumn and the experiential area Hanoi – The Pulse of Youth, dedicated to street art, craft workshops, sketching, and children's play zones.

A key highlight of this year's festival is the artistic performance program, which will take place at 8:30am on November 23 at Tran Nhan Tong Walking Street. This event will gather a variety of unique folk art forms from Hanoi and the Red River Delta, along with lively acts presented by Hanoi's students and children.

Before and during the festival, various community activities will be implemented, such as Autumn in Your Eyes, a creative space for poetry, music, and painting aimed at children and youth and Moments of Hanoi Memories online photography contest open to tourists and young people.

Festival goers could also embark on a journey through Hanoi’s historical landmarks and notable tourist attractions by joining experience tours Hanoi's Five Gates and photo tour Me, Hanoi.

According to the organizers, these activities create a broad network, helping the festival resonate more deeply within the community and reach visitors from all over.

Beyond a tourism event, the third Hanoi Autumn Festival 2025 is an invitation for everyone to reconnect with their most beautiful memories of Hà Nội: the rustling yellow leaves, the fragrance of milkwood pine flower in the breeze, the sunset over West Lake, or simply the tranquil moments walking along the tree-lined streets of Phan Dinh Phung amidst the hustle and bustle of life.
