In the 16th century, Chau Khe villagers moved to Thang Long, and Hang Bac street was formed. Since then, the street has been the heart of jewelry trading of the capital city.

This year from April 22 to May 7, the Hanoi municipal People’s Committee organized Kim Ngan Communal House Festival and Jewelry Craft Festival to honor jewelry's ancestors, artisans, and craft villages. These events were also to promote cultural and economic values of the craft and popularize the city’s tourism to both domestic and international visitors.

These events took place in the time when Hanoi was fostering the implementation of a project on developing cultural industry.

Below are photos of Kim Ngan Communal House Festival and some jewelry products.
