The festival aims to implement Resolution 33-NQ/TW of the ninth meeting of the 11th Party Central Committee on building and developing Vietnamese culture to meet the demand for national sustainable development.
In addition to honoring and promoting cultural values of the Cham people to both Vietnamese people and international friends, the festival will seek ways to develop the cultural values and those of the Cham ethnic people as tourist products.
Nearly 2,000 artisans, artists, actors, musicians, athletes, and people from 11 provinces and cities with large populations of the Cham people, such as Quang Nam, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, will participate in the event.
The highlight will be a ceremony to receive a certificate of recognition of Nhan Tower as a national special relic site. Besides, various activities, such as art shows, presentations of traditional costumes, exhibition on socio-economic development of the Cham ethnic group, introduction of traditional crafts and cuisine, and folk games will be held during the event.
Particularly, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Yen province will cooperate with hotels and restaurants in the province to keep prices of the services stable and food hygiene and safety for visitors.
