PANO - The General Department of Defence Industry held a fashion gala for the national sea and islands in Thanh Hoa city in the Central province of the same name on July 29.

Amateur designers and models from 40 units of the General Department showed their products as their sentiments to soldiers who are day and night safeguarding the national sea and island sovereignty.

Many works were unique designs with strong messages on national sovereignty over sea and islands, such as "Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagoes in my heart", and "Practical actions for national sea and islands".

At the gala, the General Department's units have also raised funds in support of families of cadres and soldiers protecting the national sovereignty over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa islands.
