The organizer selected eight best sets of paintings for A prizes and sent them to compete in the final round of the program in Japan. The organizer also presented consolation prizes to other ten sets of paintings by the individual winners and 5 prizes to paintings by 5 groups.
Of the eight selected sets of paintings for the final round, a collection of paintings by Duong Quynh Huong, student from Khuong Thuong Primary School (Hanoi), won a prize of a trip to Japan.
Starting from 1990, the biennial Mitsubishi Asian Children’s Enikki Festa is organized by Mitsubishi’s Community Action Committee, the Asia-Pacific Federation of UNESCO Clubs and Associations, and the National Union of UNESCO Associations in Japan for children from 24 countries. The program aims to promote literacy education and to stimulate cultural exchange among children by allowing them to learn about each other through “enikki” (illustrated diaries).
Over the past years, the DFAPE launched the competition for children aged from 6 to 12 in Vietnam in response to the program.
