"Don Ca Tai Tu" Festival wraps up in Binh Duong
PANO – The second "Don Ca Tai Tu" (amateur singing) Festival under the theme of “Southern folk music Don Ca Tai Tu – Preservation and Development” wrapped up on April 12 in Phu Hoa ward, Thu Dau Mot city (Binh Duong province).

The five-day festival, jointly held by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Binh Duong provincial People’s Committee, consisted of a series of impressive artistic activities such as a artistic festival entitled “Southern folk music Don Ca Tai Tu – Southern Precious”, promoting the unique folk music of 21 southeastern and southwestern localities; a photo competition and a talk show to link the folk music with tourism development.
According to the organizing panel, the festival has created high-level cultural activities of the folk music, attracting a number of visitors from Binh Duong and other southern provinces. Artisans and artists from 21 southeastern and southwestern localities entertained audience with a number of unique performances, new compositions, creating a shared stage for the folk singing lovers.
At the closing ceremony, the panel handed over a flag to representatives of Can Tho province, which will host the third National Festival of "Don Ca Tai Tu".
