At the press conference

Speaking at the press conference, Vice Chairwoman of the Dak Nong provincial People’s Committee To Thi Ngoc Hanh said that Dak Nong province is developing experiential travel products in an effort to popularize the cultural values of its tangible and intangible heritages, including the tradition of brocade weaving.

The brocade culture festival is part of the cultural and tourism activities that aim to popularize the traditional brocade weaving culture of ethnic minorities in Vietnam and of ethnic groups in the Central Highlands province of Dak Nong in particular to domestic and international friends.

The five-day event also aims to create favorable conditions for artisans and artists from ethnic minority groups in the province to share brocade-weaving experience, so as to raise the quality of their products and productivity. The festival is also an opportunity for participating localities to seek markets and call for investment in tourism, contributing to strengthening their handicraft villages and raising the living standards of local people.
