Cultural Festival of Khmer people in the South and Ooc Om Boc Festival 2022 opened

The opening ceremony was attended by President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front’s Central Committee Do Van Chien.

Addressing the event, Mr. Chien hailed the organization of the festival, showing the care of leaders at all level towards the Khmer people. This is an occasion for the ethnic minority to exchange culture, contributing to preserving and upholding the cultural traditions and raising their spiritual life, while enhancing the strength of the great national unity bloc.

With theme “Preserve and promote the cultural identity of the Khmer people in the South with equality, solidarity, integration and development,” the program takes place from November 6 to 8.

The festival attracts the participation of 12 provinces and cities with many interesting activities.
