An activity at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism

According to the organizer, the management board of the village, the highlights of this month-long cultural program, ending on November 30, are the play of ethnic minority groups’ traditional musical instruments, and performance of folk songs and dances, such as the Then singing of the Tay and Nung ethnic groups, Khen (panpipe) dance of the H’mong ethnic group.

Lectures on musical instruments, and other folk games, namely tug-of-war, "con" throwing, walks-on-stilt, are hoped to give interesting experience to visitors.

During the event, tourists also have chances to learn more about traditional costumes, handicrafts, culinary specialties, and spiritual beliefs of ethnic minority groups throughout the country.

These attracting activities are expected to help link tourists and ethnic minority groups, and promote solidarity and exchange among groups as well.
