Book street festival lure visitors
PANO – A book street festival was kicked off along the streets of Mac Thi Buoi, Nguyen Hue and Ngo Duc Ke of District 1 in Ho Chi Minh City on January 29.
The festival showcases 50,000 books of publishing houses in the city. It introduces documents and photos in celebration of the 92nd founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - 2022), winning books of the National Book Awards, and online versions of newspapers for spring, and so on.

In addition, the organizing panel introduces a stamp collection themed “Homeland sea and islands” and “Vietnam in the world,” which is collected and drawn by hand featuring the sacred national sovereignty over sea and islands.
Notably, the festival features an exhibition themed “Ho Chi Minh City and the COVID-19 fight” to pay tribute to front-line forces for their contribution to the pandemic prevention and control.

At the event, people and tourists also enjoy watching a collection of 40 paintings by Painter Le Sa Long featuring the life of the city during days of social-distancing, COVID-19 prevention and control, and more.
The festival will last till February 4.
