The festival from March 2 to 17 featuring various activities attracted the participation of many units, organizations, and individuals.

The “ao dai” performances and an “ao dai” drawing contest further highlighted the beauty and values of the traditional costume of the Vietnamese people to both domestic and international visitors and inspired their love for Vietnamese “ao dai.”

According to organizers, this year’s festival was successful as it drew the participation of 15 ambassadors, 26 designers, 360 tailors and businesses, travel companies, 2,600 contestants, and 3,000 “ao dai” performers. More significantly, 5,000 “ao dai” were presented to needy women and their daughters in the city.

At a meeting to review the program, the municipal People’s Committee presented certificates of merit to six groups for their great contributions to the success of the festival, and expressed deep thanks to ambassadors, designers, and active participants.

Collections of “ao dai,” by fashion designers Adrian Anh Tuan, Si Hoang, Thuy Nguyen, Tu Ngo, Nguyen Minh Phuc, Hue Huu, and Tung Vu, were staged at the meeting to entertain the delegates.
