Activities held in mid-autumn festival
PANO – A space dedicated to traditional practices titled “Mid-Autumn Festival at Hanoi Old Quarter 2020” will be held in the pedestrian street area of Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi, said a statement by the Center for Preserving and Developing the UNESCO Culinary Culture on September 16.
The program will take place from September 17 to October 1 with many special activities. Children and tourists coming to Hanoi Old Quarter on this occasion will have a chance to join cultural activities, folk games, and traditional craft activities.

In addition, an artistic event will also be held on the evening of September 26 with the participation of 50 child models. All set performances are expected to encourage the creativeness and confidence of the participating children.
In addition, enterprises will provide products related to the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival for children. They will also have an opportunity to make moon cakes and draw face masks.
Traditional Mid-Autumn Festival is known as one of the four big holidays in Vietnam. This is also considered an occasion for a family reunion.
The “Mid-Autumn Festival in Hanoi Old Quarter” is becoming a unique culture event in Hanoi, which contributes to honoring the tangible and intangible cultural values of Hanoi while popularizing the customs and culture of Hanoians during the Mid-Autumn Festival to tourists.
This is an annual activity in the pedestrian street area in Hanoi Old Quarter on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival, attracting many people, especially children.
This year’s program aims to lure more people inside and outside the city to visit, go shopping and learn more about traditional cultural identities.
