15 spots along Ho Chi Minh Road recognised as national historical relics

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Binh Province yesterday announced the list of 15 spots on the Ho Chi Minh Route which were named National Historical Relics by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
They are the km zero on route No. 10, Cha Quang hill on route No. 12; Ka Tang bridge, Le Ha cave, Rin tunnel, Da Deo pass on route No. 15; Ho village, Bang spring, Tho Loc T-junction, Ba Trai road on route No. 16; caves of information and nursery, NH depot, 7-storey-cave on route No.20 and Thanh Khe fishing port on the Ho Chi Minh trail by the sea.
These spots witnessed glorious victories by Vietnam’s army and people. For instance, 13 officials from Information High Command died in Len Ha cave, the Ho village is considered the HQs of the Corps 559 and wounded soldiers were treated in the area of Bang spring.
Altogether, 22 spots along the Ho Chi Minh road in Quang Binh province are now recognised as historical relics. They all belong to the Corps 559.
