Vietnamese, Lao, Cambodian farmers share agriculture, rural development experience
PANO - A conference to share experiences in agriculture, farming, and rural development between Vietnamese, Lao and Cambodian farmers was held on December 2 in Da Lat city, the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong as part of the friendship exchange among farmers of the three countries.
Present at the event were Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and head of its Commission for Mass Mobilization Truong Thi Mai and National Assembly Vice Chairman Phung Quoc Hien.
During the conference, leaders from the Vietnamese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Cambodia's Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, and the Lao Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry shared experience in agriculture and rural development and discussed orientations for the agricultural development, the role of farmers’ Associations of the three countries in developing smart agriculture 4.0 in the context of climate change and international integration.
On this occasion, the three sides signed a cooperation agreement to support high-tech applications in food safety chains and agricultural consumption in the three countries.
Earlier, delegates toured high-tech agriculture models in Dalat Hasfarm and Dalat Gap Company, and Van Thanh flower village.
